- What is SmartVisual?
- SmartVisual is an AI data analysis tool for Excel and CSV files. You upload a spreadsheet, ask a question in plain English or German, and get KPIs, charts, maps, a result table and a short written summary. It is built for small and mid-sized teams without a data analyst.
- Which files can I upload?
- CSV files up to 10 MB and Excel (.xlsx) files up to 1 MB, each with up to 200,000 rows. German CSV exports with semicolons and numbers like 1.234,56 work as they are. Old .xls files are not supported; save them as .xlsx or CSV first.
- Can I trust the numbers? Does the AI make them up?
- No figure comes from the AI. Every number is calculated in code over all rows of your file, not a sample. The AI only interprets your question and writes the explanation, and every sentence with a number is checked against the calculated results before you see it.
- Do I need SQL, formulas or data skills?
- No. Ask the way you would ask a colleague, for example "Revenue by month in 2025" or "Umsatz nach Region". If SmartVisual is not sure what you mean, it asks a short clarifying question instead of guessing.
- What do I get back?
- A headline KPI, a chart or map, the table behind it and three to five insights. You can create an instant dashboard from a file, save charts to a live dashboard that updates when you upload a newer version, and export results as CSV, PNG or PDF.
- Which languages does it support?
- You can ask questions in English or German, and the whole interface is available in both languages.
- Where is my data stored, and what does the AI see?
- Your files are stored privately in the EU (Ireland), and only you can read them. To answer a question, the AI service receives your question, the column names, a few example values and the calculated results, never the whole file. The AI service may process this outside the EU; the privacy policy has the details. There are no tracking or advertising tools.
- How long do you keep my files?
- Uploaded files are deleted automatically 30 days after upload. Chats and dashboards stay until you delete them. Deleting your account removes everything straight away.
- Is SmartVisual free?
- Yes, the Free plan gives you a set number of questions per day with no credit card. Paid plans give you more questions per day. They are set up personally by email or WhatsApp and do not renew automatically.
- What can't it do yet?
- Forecasts, correlations, combining two files and questions that need more than one grouping at a time are not supported yet. Direct database and Google Sheets connections are on the roadmap.
